Warning signs in its filings
Problems the company itself reported to the SEC, in its own words.
1 serious warning sign in Dare Bioscience’s filings.
We look for five warning signs: doubt it can keep going, weak checks on its own accounts, a notice that its past accounts can't be relied on, a change of auditor, and one customer bringing in a big share of sales. We don't check lawsuits, investigations or debt yet.
We checked the auditor's report, internal controls, restatement notices, auditor changes and big customers in the 10-K filed 26 Mar 2026, plus the 10-Q filed 13 Aug 2026 and 18 later 8-Ks.
Doubt it can keep going
SeriousThe company or its auditor warned it may not have enough money to last the next year.
“Based on the Company’s current analysis of the conditions described above, there is substantial doubt about the Company's ability to continue as a going concern within the 12 month period from the issuance date of the accompanying condensed consolidated financial statements given that the timing and amount of potential revenue the Company may generate remain uncertain.”

The Company has a history of losses from operations, net losses and negative cash flows from operations. At June 30, 2026, the Company had an accumulated deficit of approximately $ 194.7 million and the Company incurred a net loss of approximately $ 6.0 million and had negative cash flow from operations of approximately $ 12.3 million for the six months ended June 30, 2026. The Company may continue to incur significant losses from operations and negative cash flows from operations for the next several years, and may never generate sufficient revenues to finance its operations or achieve profitability. Based on the Company’s current analysis of the conditions described above, there is substantial doubt about the Company's ability to continue as a going concern within the 12 month period from the issuance date of the accompanying condensed consolidated financial statements given that the timing and amount of potential revenue the Company may generate remain uncertain. The accompanying condensed consolidated financial statements were prepared on a going concern basis, which assumes that the Company will realize its assets and satisfy its liabilities in the normal course of business. The accompanying condensed consolidated financial statements do not include any adjustments to reflect the possible future effects on the recoverability and reclassification of assets or the amounts and classifications of liabilities that may result from the outcome of the uncertainty of our ability to remain a going concern.
From the 10-Q filed 13 August 2026, Part I, Item 1. Financial Statements. Read it in the filing
A 10-K is the yearly report every US company files with the SEC. An 8-K is a short notice of a big event.
The deep dive
Everything above is arithmetic on public filings. The deep dive reads the last ten years of annual reports, the proxy statements, and the earnings calls, then argues the case the way Buffett, Klarman, and Hohn would, and checks every claim against the source.
